Skye is one of Scotlands most iconic destinations. Our 11hr tour starts from your Inverness pick up point or your Inverness accommodation. Choosing to explore the north of the island enables you to explore all of the must-see sights on Skye. Enroute to the island is some of Scotland's most dramatic scenery including the renowned Five Sisters of Kintail. We arrive at one of Scotland's most photographed castles; Eilean Donan Castle where time is provided for a visit. We cross the Skye Bridge providing opportunities for a picnic lunch enroute. We cut across the island from east to west before arriving for a tasting at the famous Talisker Malt Whisky Distillery. Here you are guided around the distillery by the staff and finish with a dram of the amber nectar. After the distillery we drive back down the island, viewing the jagged Cuillin Hills which can sometimes be spectacular. Alternatively if whisky is not be your thing, we can take the winding Glen Brittal road towards the Fairy Pools. The Fairy Pools are a natural waterfall phenomenon in Glen Brittle, on the Allt Coir' a' Mhadaidh rivier. The vivid blues and greens of the pools suggest an unnatural origin, hence their name. NB: Many distilleries don't open at weekends, especially off season. No under 16's. Price is for guide and vehicle only. Admissions, food and guide gratuities not included.
