Irene is a true Invernessian and was born and bred on the Black Isle.  When not guiding it is very rare to see her without a fiddle in her hand.   Privileged to have learned under Donald Riddell CBE, she has played the fiddle since she was 4 years old and has taken part in many music festivals both in Scotland and abroad.  She teaches fiddle, mandolin and banjo and plays in the ‘Full Tilt’ Ceilidh Band.  So, as well as traveling through Scotland, you may find yourself listening to some music or learning some Scottish dances on the side of Loch Ness!

As well as her love for Scotland, especially the Highlands and Islands, Irene describes herself as ‘the guide with the most random facts”.  Irene says,

“ I am a huge whisky fan and love visiting distilleries in my spare time.  My favourites? Well, anything from the Speyside distilleries. Will hit the spot”

Flexible is how Irene would describe herself, always wanting to go the extra mile to ensure her guests to have the best experience possible and will help make your holiday to Scotland a trip of a lifetime.
