1 DAY Outlander TOUR

1 Day Outlander
8 hr

According to writer Diana Gabaldon, "The Outlander" series started by accident in the 1980's. Since then it has become an epic adventure beloved by fans worldwide. With our OUTLANDER inspired tour let us transport you back in time to walk in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire.

Our day starts at the Bronze Age standing stones of Clava Cairns. Then onto Culloden where we will make this emotional piece of history come alive. After a lunch break at a uniquely Outlander-related restaurant, we take a short photo visit to Castle Leod (Castle Leoch).  Then on to a beautiful waterfall, reminiscent of the landscape from the show, to stretch the legs.  We then take the short drive into Beauly, a pretty village mentioned several times in the books. To finish the day we could go to afternoon tea or perhaps a wee taste of something stronger at a local distillery.

DAY TWO

The west Highlands with its picture postcard scenery is an area that never disappoints. On this tour, we visit the infamous Loch Ness (where Claire saw the Water Horse), travel over Mam Ratagan Pass, a stunning drive which drops down into the village of Glen Elg, then onwards via the last hand operated turntable ferry in the world to the Isle of Skye, before returning to Inverness via the impressive Skye bridge.  There is also time for a photo stop of Eileen Donan Castle.

With day 2, there is also the option of adding on an additional 3 hours - making it an 11 hour day.  This will allow you to explore the magical island of Skye in more depth.

NB: Price is for guide and vehicle only. Admissions, food and guide gratuities are not included.

DAY THREE

After overnighting in Inverness we travel to Edinburgh for a day of film locations and history. There are a variety of fantastic places to take you as we journey south  OR NORTH as you can choose this to be the first day of your trip.  Choose (with the help of our admin team) from some of the filming locations from seasons 1-4. Places like Crainsmuir, 1940's Inverness, Castle Leoch or 'The Hill' location of the standing stones. Add some out of the way scene stealing locations and you have the makings of a humdinger of a day tour!
