Paul has been guiding tours around Scotland for the past 8 years telling amazing stories, bringing history to life and adding a depth and understanding to the places found en route - with an infectious, outgoing enthusiasm and passion.

He is also pretty handy with a camera and at spotting a good photo opportunity - because before guiding he was the Principal Photographer with Scotland’s National Tourist Board, spending 30 years seeking out Scotland’s best locations, most interesting people and quirky events in order to promote the country to the world.

He has led several specialist photography workshops, and recently, he was involved in the production and filming of both the UK and USA versions of the hit TV show ‘The Traitors’ . He has also been involved with many other Film and TV shows, including Mysteries at the Museum – Loch Ness!

Over a period of 3 years he was the fixer, interpreter and guide on the National Geographic Magazine story: ‘The Scottish Moors’.

When not guiding, working on photo projects or with film and TV productions, he assists with a local antiques business and in construction.

And in his ‘spare time’, collects art, goes white-water kayaking, cycling and downhill skiing.
